This course is an introduction to the preparation and delivery of expository sermons with an emphasis on the science of sermon preparation and structure, including experience in sermon construction and delivery.
 
PA 202 Homiletics II

This course offers instruction and practice in the preparation and delivery of expository sermons.
 
PA 311 Pastorology I
[3 Hours]
This course is a practical introduction to the principles, skills, and responsibilities of the pastoral ministry, including the call and character of the pastor.
 
PA 312 Pastorology II
[3 Hours]
This course covers effective methods of personal ministry, and church administration with the goal of achieving a competence in the life and work of the pastor.
 
PA 400 Seminar in Pastoral Ministry
[2 Hours]
This course is a seminar in current Biblical, theological and practical issues facing fundamental Baptist churches and their leaders with one objective being to prepare the student for eventual ordination.
 
PA 411 Pastorology III
[3 Hours]
This course is a continuation of PA 311 and PA 312 with an emphasis on leading worship, conducting special functions such as the church ordinances, weddings, funerals, and ministering in special circumstances or difficult problems.
 
PA 412 Pastorology IV
[3 Hours]
This course is a continuation of PA 411 and emphasizes leading worship, conducting special functions such as the church ordinances, weddings, and funerals and ministering in special circumstances or difficult problems.
 
PA 461, 462 Pastoral Ministries In-Service Training
[1 Hour each]
These courses emphasize hands-on field experience in all phases of the pastoral ministry requiring a minimum of 60 hours of work over a period of at least ten weeks under the supervision of a pastor appointed by the Department.
