PY 201 General/Biblical Psychology
[3 Hours]
This course is a study of psychology with an emphasis on schools of psychology, biological influences, functions of the mind and personality, development and adjustment.  Strong emphasis is placed on Biblical foundations for the study of each of these topics.
 
PY 212 Child Growth and Development
[2 Hours]
This course is a study of the Biblical perspective on the study of child growth, development, and behavior.  This course provides an overview of the cognitive, motor, and socioemotional development of children.  Emphasis is placed on the responsibilities of parents and teachers in helping children to develop physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
 
PY 222 Adolescent Psychology
[2 Hours]
This course is a study of the Biblical perspective on the study of adolescent development with an emphasis on the physical, mental, social, emotional, moral and spiritual development of the adolescent.
 
PY 232 Educational Psychology
[2 Hours]
This course is a study of the Biblical perspective of the learning process with an emphasis on theories of educational psychology, application of these theories to teaching, and recognition of current issues in Christian education.
 
PY 242 Adolescent Development
[2 Hours]
From a Christian perspective, this course examines the maturational and environmental factors influencing growth in the adolescent stage of human development.  This course includes such topics as physical, cognitive, moral personality, and social developmental aspects.  Application to diagnosis and intervention with respect to developmentally based disorders will be discussed.
 
PY 401 Tests and Measurements
[2 Hours]
